How to get high load on regular springs
Rules dont allow bumps, spring rubbers, bump springs etc, so how can i go about getting the high liad numbers at 3.5” to 4.5” of travel?
-
Progressive rate springs?
-
No stacking springs either I take it? Just run conventional and have some fun with the car.

Got some ideas to fix all that, but don't wanna give it all away.

Could you on me? Been struggling after we lost bump stops, then spring rubbers, now we are Back to a single spring no other add-ons

Make shock mounts that are dampened.
RF, say we mounted the shock on a jack bolt, with no threads, in-between the shock mount itself and the frame mount put a rubber Bisquit. Pull bar bushing etc.
You could make the entire Assy shielded so you cant see the bushing.
Think about a smalll bushing type pull bar, mounted on the RF, and used in the push direction. If i get time i will try to draw something up.

it would not be dampened though would it?

Make a deflective top nut or lower spring cup and coil bind the spring, sure is cheaper then a bump or whatever (grins)
-
Why not use a stiffer spring and lower the ride height? Generally all we care about is dynamic load anyways. I’ve seen a few Trakstar’s use this strategy with good success.
-
Because deck height rules

IMCA late model rules? As a former imca promoter at two tracks I really don't have any use for them BUT they have a good set of lm rules that bring this Stoopid world of lm racing under control...
Now back to our regular programming.
