CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 18 competition is already underway, as Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA hosted the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division on Tuesday night with Lamar Hughes of Soddy Daisy, TN taking the win. It was the first of 16 Week 18 events covering eight different states.

Along with the Street Stocks, the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division, Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division, and the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division will be in action. The action will take place at sanctioned tracks in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Kansas and Nebraska.

Drivers that have reached the 14 week mark of their season that represents their season point total will be trying to net points. They will be trying to replace the lowest weekly point total of their best 14 weekly totals with a higher weekly point total.

Drivers that haven’t made it to the 14-week mark will still be earning full points and looking to climb into the Top 10 of the point standings in the four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions. There are four events on the Week 18 schedule for Friday night, and 11 races set for Saturday night.

The Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division will race for $1,000-to-win on Friday night when they join the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour at historic Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN.
