Ahnna Parkhurst Races to Quartet of Top-10 Finishes

Evans, Georgia (08/01/18) – Ahnna Parkhurst enjoyed a successful week of competition behind the wheel of her LauriesFund.org #23 Richard Childress Racing/ Sweet Bloomquist Chassis Crate Late Model with a quartet of Top-10 finishes to show for her efforts.

“It was a solid week for our team,” Parkhurst noted. “We raced four times with three Top-5 finishes and no worse finish than sixth. We’ll definitely take that and look to build on it. We’re learning a lot about this car, and I’m getting more comfortable in the driver’s seat every time out. I want to say a special thanks to everyone, who supports my program.”

Ahnna’s busy week of racing kicked off on Sunday evening at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia), where she laid down the third-fastest time in qualifications, positioning her third on the starting grid for the main event. Dropping back to as far as the fourth position during the race’s early stages, Parkhurst mounted a late-race charge to a runner-up finish behind Austin Smith with Colby Kilgore, Ashton Winger, and Sam Seawright completing the Top-5 finishers.

On Tuesday evening Ahnna Parkhurst was one of 26 Crate Late Models on hand at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia). Starting her night by registering the fourth-fastest time in qualifying, Parkhurst battled in the Top-5 throughout the A-Main before crossing the finish line in the fourth position behind Jason Welshan, Clay Harris, and Sam Seawright with Chip Brindle coming in fifth.

The following night at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee), Ahnna locked her spot into the feature with the sixth-fastest time in qualifying. Holding her spot for the entire distance, Parkhurst recorded a sixth-place finish.

After losing Friday’s program at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) to evening rain showers, Parkhurst stopped at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night. After timing in fifth fastest in qualifying, Ahnna held her spot for all 20-laps in the feature, notching a fifth-place finish behind Bobby Richey, Colby Kilgore, Logan Palmer, and Granger Howell.
