Kent Robinson Enjoys Grand Homecoming with Brownstown Win
Four Nights of LOLMDS Competition at Florence Scheduled for this Week

Bloomington, Indiana (08/07/18) – On Friday evening Kent Robinson made the most of a very rare opportunity to compete at his home track, Bloomington Speedway. The pilot of the JB’s Disposal Services #7r MB Customs/ Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model streaked to a $3,000 win with the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Models.

It was his second win of the year, but meant much more to the hometown driver.

“Any win is special but to win one here at Bloomington Speedway, means that much more,” Robinson noted. “They don’t have many Super Late Model shows here because this is mainly Sprint Car territory, but hopefully next year we’ll get two or three events here. I hope the fans enjoyed the show because it was a heck of a battle with Tanner (English), and it was cool to win in front of a lot of friends and family. We’ve got a short week in front of us to get ready for four nights of racing at Florence Speedway, so we’ll be busy getting ready for that.”

On Friday night Kent Robinson made the short trip to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana), where he was making a rare Super Late Model start at the famed oval. Drawing 22 cars for the Hoosier State Hall of Fame Weekend, Kent locked his spot into the MARS A-Main with a heat race victory. Swapping back in forth for the lead with Tanner English in the final 10 circuits, Robinson overtook English for good on lap 38 en route to his second win of the season and a $3,000 payday. English, Michael Kloos, Billy Moyer Jr., and Nick Hoffman completed the Top-5 finishers in the 40-lap affair.

The following night took Robinson to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana), where he was competing in a field of 27 MARS Racing Series entries for the Hall of Fame Classic. Finishing second in his heat behind Tanner English, Kent earned the sixth-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale. Working his way into a podium spot, Kent Robinson gained three spots to finish third behind Billy Moyer Jr. and Tanner English with Michael Kloos and Michael Chilton completing the Top-5 finishers.
