I’ve said it many of times in similar threads such as this one, but one of if not the coolest nicknames I’ve heard is “the wheelman” Johnny Wheeler. The name fit him to a T because he could wheel the heck out of a car. RIP he was one of the good guys.

I’ve been a dirt late model fan forever. Nicknames have ran its course for me. Everyone got one now. Shouldn’t have one if you ain’t never won a 10k or more. I’m over it. Time for it to go away.

I grew up with many drivers sporting a nickname of a favorite cartoon character and having that image displyed on their cars... fun times.
Miles "The Mouse" Melius, Don "The Dog" Schuppel, Fuzzy "The Hound" Fassbender, Pedro Roehl "Speedy Gonzalez" and so many more. The kids loved that stuff...Member of the Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Fame
