FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mother Nature Cancels Big Daddy Classic at Ponderosa Speedway

JUNCTION CITY, KENTUCKY- August 17, 2018- Ponderosa Speedway was set to return to action on Friday August 17 with the 3rd Annual Big Daddy Classic, however, Mother Nature would have other plans and heavy rains during the day and evening on Thursday and with a forecast for more rain on Friday over the 3/8-mile D-shaped clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” and forced the cancellation of the evening’s racing activities.

At this point, the event is not set to be rescheduled, as other available tracks conflict with other local and regional events already scheduled, so at this time, a reschedule date is not been set.

The next event at Ponderosa Speedway is scheduled for Friday August 31 and will be the 14th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial, featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, paying $12,000 to win and $1,000 to start. Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors for the John Bradshaw Memorial on Friday August 31 will be Crate Late Models racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win, and KDRA Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win.
