Boone they still couldve gotten the race in. Im not hating on Boone at all. But some certain members seem to think we didn't get any rain here in Ohio.

Zyoungs water photo almost makes me miss Ohio. California has, what seem, never ending fires and tinder dryness this time of year. It's to the point of the main north-south interstate, I 5, which runs from the Mexican border to Canada is closed from the Oregon border for some 47 miles south.
We've got a race in Medford, OR in 2 weeks and hope we can get there. Even if the fire is under control there is legitimate concern about the 70-100' burnt trees along the road falling on the road. We've had lots of adventures towing over the years but have yet to get hit by a falling tree and hope to pass on that experience.

The climb from Redding to Weed on the I-5 is no joke. It’d be a brake burner coming South. Been out that way several times on fire assignments. Always an adventure in No Cal/S Oregon.

Definetly. All the rain from up in Pennsylvania area is going to run right down this way, via the Ohio river. The folks at prp are going to have their hands full with clean up before dtwc.

It’s been raining hard here in Pittsburgh for about 30 sustained hours now and it’s not supposed to stop sometime tomorrow morning. PRP is very likely to be totally flooded out. Getting it ready in time for the DTWC is going to be tough.

I have something similar that, only it's a supercharged hemi SUV. I haven't quite made it to the mini van stage yet.

I'm not sure if this puts flood water on the track or not, but I think it does.

The scioto river normally gets up in the parking lot before the Ohio does. They built a dam one year out of dirt piles to keep the scioto out for one of the lucas races.

I would think its going to get a lot worse with that hurricane coming into NC/SC too. DTWC in jeopardy?

    Just say no...

I was wondering the same thing, obviously I'm not from the area but how long does it usually take PRP to drain after flooding like that? On top of repairs maybe? I wonder if we hear an announcement about the DTWC soon?

I think it was last year they got flooded 2 weeks before opening night, and had it ready to go when the time came. As long as we don't get dumped on again like we did last week, I dont think it'll be a problem.

One could only hope the DTWC gets moved to a new location. I’m still baffled how the DTWC general admission cost more than the World 100 reserved tickets

    This would be my guess

The DTWC top 5 payout is $142k

The World top 5 payout is $101,250

That extra $42k just for the top 5 has to help come somewhere.
