Short Track Championships Oct 5-6 @ Jacksonville Speedway

SHORT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS AT JACKSONVILLE FRI/SAT OCT 5/6 Plans are finalized for this weekend's Short Track Championships at Jacksonville where two Midwest sprint car series' titles will decided. Friday Oct 5th the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprints will determine its series champion in a night that also includes the Built Ford Tough Midwest Open Wheel Association Sprints Car Series delivered by Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. Street Stocks will round out the card racing for $500 to win thanks to Bob Hawks Auto Body. Saturday Oct 6th is Championship Night for the MOWA Sprints as a new series champion will be crowned. $1,000 to win non-wing sprints along with Modifieds and Micros complete the Saturday night lineup. (UMP Points will not be awarded to Modifieds or Street Stocks this weekend) Grandstands open at 5:00 both nights with hot laps at 6:00. MOWA Sprints will qualify for Saturday's show at 6:30 with racing both nights at 7:00. Adult admission each night is $20. Ages 11-18 still just $5 with kids 10 and under Free. Make plans to join us this Friday and Saturday October 5th and 6th for some incredible championship racing at Jacksonville Speedway. #STCJAX

Just got word from Rico Abreu that he plans to join us Friday Night for the first night of our Short Track Championships at Jacksonville. He has to head back to California after this weekend so won't be here for next week's Outlaw show... so catch him this Friday Jacksonville Speedway. Short Track Championships At Jacksonville Friday Oct 5th MOWA Sprints, WAR Sprint Championship, $500 to win Street Stocks Saturday Oct 6th MOWA Championship, $1000 to win non-wing sprints, Modifieds, Micros. Hot laps at 6:00 both nights. Racing at 7:00. Nightly admission $20. Ages 11-18 $5. Kids 10 and under FREE.

It's RACEDAY! A dry and beautiful race day! We dodged a few heavier cells overnight and woke up to a forecast of virtually no chance of rain, perfect temps, a little sun peeking out this afternoon... and an absolutely fantastic event tonight. Remember, we just put this event together last week, so there are probably people who you assume know about it that don't. Spread the word today at work and get them out here for a great night. Again, let's focus on tonight and take them one day at a time. It'll all work out. Tonight - WAR Sprint Championship paying $2000 to win. MOWA Sprints - paying $2,500 to win thanks to Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. Street Stocks - paying $500 to win thanks to Bob Hawks Auto Body. While we did get the good end of the weather overnight, we still are going to need to let our pit area dry most of the morning and early afternoon. So if you are a team arriving early, plan to stay outside of the locked pit gate till mid afternoon. Otherwise, all systems are go for tonight. Let's Race!
