We ran one on a Dirt Works many years ago. It worked very well on a stop and go paper clip. You need to keep the mtg heights pretty close, around 3 inches, or the lateral movement of the rearend gets too radical.

Yes I have tried one in recent years. They are quicker reacting and can be pretty unpredictable in stop and go conditions. You must watch your bar angle with it is my advice. You might like it for you though.
