Apologize if have missed this somewhere but who is Thornton driving for? Know he has been subbing for Hudson but see him on the list also, assume he is back in the seat of the 71.
I hate time trials.

Hudson is supposed to be racing in AZ.

I believe Thornton will be in one of Casey Skyberg's cars

Did You mention that Cody Laney will be driving Pete’s 32B at the WWS? Cody raced at Canyon last month, but I don’t believe the car was owned by Pete.

Anybody know for sure if Donny Schatz will be there in a late model?!

I am making my first trip out there. Any tips?

Pushin….. the quote feature isn't working. But yes Cody is the new driver. He will probably bring his mod also. He is a talented driver in both LM and Mod. Pete still owns the LM and the engines, he just doesn't keep the car at his place anymore. The mod is Cody's.

its a fun time..weather great (we hope), not like 2 years ago with the rainouts...are you camping, hotel ?..we camp..big parking lot with plenty of room..no hookups or electric of any kind..johnny on spots out in front of track, open all night...lots to see and do during the day around Apache Junction

Laney will be there in Petes 32b, most likely not in the mod from what I've been told. Will be focusing on the late model and the mod has a 604 crate and will be eatin up by the opens in a normal cituation.

It will be warm during the day and nippy at night.
I’d say try at least two different Mexican Food restaurants while you’re out here. Most people that I know that have moved from Az tend to say they miss the Mexican food more than anything. (I don’t live out that way, so I am unsure where you should try.) If you see or talk to Ricky Thornton Jr he will know where to go since he likes Mexican food and he lives out that way.
There is an outdoor Mall in Tempe called Tempe Marketplace that’s not real far (30-min) from the track. Plenty of places to eat there. Also just South of the US-60 (a few miles) on Gilbert Road there are a lot of places to eat and shop at.
Some people make a quick trip (4-5 hour drive from the track) to Vegas during the two consecutive off days. The elevation in Phoenix and areas around it is right around 1,100 feet. If you miss the snow or cold weather you can head 3 hours North to Flagstaff where the elevation is right at 7,000 feet. I’ve heard some people make the trip to the Grand Canyon and that is a little over 4 hours away.

It was announced during the Wetern World (mid-November) at Az Speedway said he was coming. That’s all I have heard.

Thanks Pushin.
I was in Vegas back in the summer. I do plan to go to the Grand Canyon. Will take the other suggestions under consideration.
