Default Third Annual Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway Goes Saturday November 24

Iron-Man Late Models and Iron-Man Modifieds Finish 2018 Season with Third Annual Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway November 24

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY - November 6, 2018 - The Third Annual Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Saturday November 24 will close out the 2018 racing campaign for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com and the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, with the Iron-Man Late Models racing for $5,000 to win and Iron-Man Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win.

411 Motor Speedway will host an open practice session for all divisions on Friday November 23 to start off what has become a must-see Thanksgiving weekend event and trip to the track, which is located about a half-hour from the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas. The open practice will take place from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. on Friday November 23, with all pit passes and tier parking passes $15, while the general admission area will be open and there will be free admission in the grandstand area.

The third annual Leftover will take place on Saturday November 24 and will feature the series championship event for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com, racing for $5,000 to win and $450 to start. It will also be the series championship event for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, with the open-wheel warriors racing for $1,200 to win. Also in competition at 411 Motor Speedway at the third annual Leftover on Saturday November 24 will be the track’s Crate Late Models, Sportsman Late Models, Modified Street, and Classic Car divisions, with Crate Late Models racing for $1,500 to win, Sportsman Late Models racing for $800 to win, Modified Streets racing for $700 to win, and Classic Cars racing for $500 to win. The Crate Late Model, Sportsman Late Model, Modified Street, and Classic Car divisions will race under 411 Motor Speedway rules and those division rules can be found at www.411motorspeedway.net and by contacting tech director Joe Byrd at (865) 776-1798. In addition, all divisions in competition at 411 Motor Speedway must have window nets on the cars, drivers must wear gloves, and all drivers must have a working RACEceiver (NO exceptions to these rules).

Activities for the third annual Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday November 24 will see the pit area open at 9:00 a.m. (any teams staying overnight after the practice on Friday November 23 MUST be at the Pit Area ticket booth no later than 8:45 a.m. as the pit area will be cleared prior to pit gates officially opening). The general admission will open on Saturday November 24 at 9:00 a.m. as well. The drivers meeting will take place at 2:00 p.m., with practice laps, time trials, and green-flag racing to follow. Ticket prices for the third annual Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday November 24 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free, while a pit pass and/or tier parking will be $35 for adults, with children ages 12 being $15.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the program. The entry fee will be $100, plus transponder rental fee for timing/scoring purposes. The tire rule for the event will be as follows: Hoosier 1350, 1600 and LM40 along with the American Racer 48 and 56 tires allowed on all four wheels of the race cars. All non-qualifier Late Model drivers receive $50 tow money and random tire samples will be taken by the series.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the program at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday November 24. The entry fee will be $25, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Open Wheel Modified tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Hoosier M60 and American Racer Extra Hard is an option on the right rear of the cars and all tires can be siped, but no grooving of any tire is allowed. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $25 tow money.

Joey Standridge of Telico Plains, TN has clinched the 2018 Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series title, while the 2018 Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series title is still up for grabs, as Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY leads defending series champion Shon Flanary of Surgoinsville, TN by a mere 12 markers entering the series final event.

This event will not close out the 2018 season at 411 Motor Speedway, as the Ninth Annual Hangover event is set for Saturday December 29, with Super Late Models racing for $4,000 to win and Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win. The event will be sanctioned by CT Promotions and will utilize the Iron-Man Late Model Series and Iron-Man Modified Series rules. The event will feature NO entry fee for the Super Late Model and Modified divisions and there be NO droop rule in effect for Super Late Models at the Hangover on December 29.

The Leftover first appeared on the 411 Motor Speedway schedule in 2016 and Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga. captured the $5,000 to win CT Promotions sanctioned event over Jimmy Owens, Donald McIntosh, Jackie Boggs and Jason Hiett, K.C. Burdette took the $1,200 payday in the Open Wheel Modified portion of the event, also sanctioned by CT Promotions, over Jimmy Owens, Lucas Lee, Clayton Miller and Victor Lee last season. The 2017 Leftover event would see the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and Jackie Boggs of Grayson, KY would claim the victory over Casey Roberts, Johnny Cloer, Jr., Devin Moran, and Stephen Breeding. The 2017 Modified portion of the program would be sanctioned by the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series and Don Adams of London, KY would score the win over Tommy Bailey, Jody Puckett, Keith Smith, and Ervin Vance.
