The $11,109 to win purse caught my eye as we've been considering a trip back to that part of the country for an extended tour around that time next summer to coincide with a 60th ( yes, sixty) reunion affair in NE Ohio.
Unfortunately, our Super Street/ Pro Stock/Super Stock doesn't even come close to Plymouth's rules. It's still a possibility, although slim, if we can find enough good paying races to make the 2,600 mile each way worth while.
Plymouth's photo gallery made my day. Most of us have seen a '55-'57 Chevy copy racing but the purple/white '55 or '56 Pontiac was ultra cool. Thanks for the post, Nathan.

Ok. Hope your able to join the fun at the track.
ALSO
NOTE - ALL UMP, USRA, IMCA, & NeSmith cars that can conform to the tracks rules are eligible to compete.
Any Street Stock (Super Street, Bomber, Pro Stock, Hobby Stock, ect) race car that can conform to the rules no matter what sanction you race under or track you race at are eligible to compete at Plymouth
(last year the race was on schedule but when a friend of a competitor passed away the sponsors and teams added more money and with in a week the race grew to $10K to win and $200 to start)
Last year the race drew 58 cars and the winner was Davenport Speedway IMCA competitor Jeffery Struck.
This year the race promoters are Matt Toosley, Ron Wilkes, & Jean Rivich along with the track are giving teams 7 month notice about the race and the purse.
