Default World of Outlaws Dirt Car Nationals @ Volusia

Has anyone else noticed what is being done to the reserved ticket holders for the 2019 Dirt car Nationals? This new bleacher deal has been stopped in the middle of construction. However during this time, the reserved ticket holders on top rows of the old bleachers have been moved to lower seats because ticket buyers of the premium seating that was supposed to have been completed were moved to the old top row seats. How can this be anywhere close to being right?

Sounds kinda crappy.....why did the construction halt on the bleacher project?
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

    Default reasons

There were several reasons given for the halting of the construction, just don't see how that falls back on the reserved seat ticket holders that did not request any changes other than to pay their bill for the tickets! Mind boggling!

Sorry people......Big races need to have reserved seating.
People get greedy with the amount of room (number of seats) they cover with blankets = Less people in the prime locations of the grandstands.
Reserved seating allows a track/promoter to have visibility to the amount of seats sold and fans coming, which can lead to increased purses.

    Default Reserved seats

Reserved seats are not going away at bigger events. Really can't understand any benefit of doing away with them.

Volusia has had issues for several years now. One would think the World of Outlaws would put more emphasis on one of their bigger shows. This bleacher deal has been a debacle to say the least.

Here is what I received from Volusia as to why the new grandstands would not be ready.

First, thank you for your advance ticket purchase for the 2019 DIRTcar Nationals. We appreciate and thank you for your support.

Despite our best plans and ambitions, we have run into a series of issues that will prevent our new bleacher from being completed by the 2019 events.

Today, we made the decision to suspend the construction. It was going to be too close on timing, and a half built structure doesn't work. This includes Premium Seating and Trophy Deck.

We cannot apologize enough for creating the expectation. You have shown your support and interest, and we simply didn't deliver.

Our plan is to reinstall the 2018 Grandstand that you are familiar with in the exact same spot it was before, providing seating that was in place prior to the construction in the same location.

    So… what does this mean?…

If your tickets are in Sections 12 to 15 (in front of the tower) there is no change, but you will receive a new confirmation email and Print-at-Home tickets will need to be reprinted.
If you reserved Premium Seats (sections 205 to 207) you are being moved to rows 17 – 20 of Sections 5, 6, and 7 – straight down in the "old" bleacher.
    Reserved seats (Sections 5, 6, and 7 ) from rows 15 – 23 will be moved to rows 11 - 17 of Sections 5, 6, and 7 – straight down in the “old” bleacher.
    Reserved seats (Sections 8, 9, and 10 ) from rows 15 – 23 will be moved to rows 12 - 20 of Sections 8, 9, and 10 – straight down in the “old” bleacher.
Unfortunately, as you remember, the old configuration had fewer aisles and will cause the loss of aisle seats. We will do our best, however, cannot guarantee an aisle seat.
We understand your frustration and will offer a full refund of your purchase if you wish.
If you already printed your Print-at-Home tickets, you will need to reprint once the reassignment has been completed.
What do I need to do?

Stand by… We will make the seat reassignment and let you know the new seats. If you have bought in a group or made multiple purchases to create a group, please let us know.
Beginning today... as soon as we reassign your seats, we will email you a new confirmation. If the reassigned seats are acceptable, you don't have to do anything. If you have questions or wish to exchange, please call.
If you wish a refund, let us know.
If your ticket price changes, your MyDirtTickets.com account will be credited with the difference for future purchase or a refund.
We are fully committed to the improvement project and construction of the new structure will start immediately following DIRTcar Nationals and be ready for 2020 DIRTcar Nationals, February 11 to 22, 2020.
With the holidays and call volume, the phones will be jammed. Please be patient; we will contact you. You can also email us with your questions: tickets@dirtcar.com. (We will be closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.)

When you arrive this year, you will see we shifted our construction focus to the new front stretch wall and fence. The wall and fence were a “safety first” priority, and we know you will appreciate the improvement. With the new fence, the flag stand has been relocated in front of section 7 and 8!

Again, we cannot apologize enough and understand you are being effected by our error in construction timing. This is the last thing we wanted to happen as we are so proud of the new structure and the investment.

    Thank you for your understanding,

    Tom Deery

    What. A. Cluster. Fock.

Sept 12 a video was posted of them taking the old grandstand down. What happened in the last 3-1/2 months that affected things I wonder.

Yes it is a cluster. However, I didn't do anything other than pay for my reserved top row seats that I have had for years. I didn't change anything. So now World Racing group tells me I am no longer in a top row seat because the people that purchased the premium seats that are not complete will be put in the top row seats of the old grandstands, and we will be moved a lower row. How can that b right?
