    Default T3 and Over

What T3 said. Really fun, but it is a crazy wreckfest. But I really enjoyed the game. It had Hodnett in it too. In the Apple car.

Awesome you get to be there weekly Over. One of these days the Gold Cup would be cool to attend.

If you don’t like the race is going you can’t just click restart?

Yeah, Silver Dollar is one of our favorite tracks even after 30 years of racing there. It's usually well prepped and a pretty good group of people to race with.

It's a shame that the Gold Cup is a shadow of its' former glory when it paid $50K to win. My son still remembers his first Chili Feed and Bikini contest and he was only about 9 then, small enough to squeeze through the crowd to eyeball the pretty girls up close. He's in his early forties now and 6'4" and can't do that any more.

He does most of the driving there these days and is one of the masters of running the very top and, occasionally, slipping off the top and coming back. The old man doesn't run that high any more.

SD outlawed the payday loan scams and the owner decided to say F SD and borded up the track. He had plenty of cash to spend

Yep, basically he had no need for a tax write off in the state anymore.

    It’s no longer $50k?

At least you guys still like it. Sounds like a good time. Bikini contest and Cali, thumbs up here.

Write off was the wrong way to put it I suppose, more like somehow he was probably funneling money through it or something, A guy running payday Loan stores seems like a real straight shooter.

Nope, the Gold Cup only pays about $10K now. Just like most regular 2 day WoO shows but Silver Dollar runs 3 nights, one of them winged 360s and, I think, non wing spec Sprints. Field is way down from its' heyday and that's a shame.

Our Super Stocks used to be a chance for the flipem fans to get a beer,or get rid of one, but the way we were treated; no practice, no heats and go run a main at the end of the night on a track that has been run to death by all the Sprinter action sucked. So rutted the last time we ran with WoO I broke two wheels and busted 2 new tires and our whole class said no more of that sh!t. I've heard that same theme from every class that has ever been a filler for WoO.

Bikini contest pays a grand to win and no pit passes required. Just a shave and a well filled bikini.

Copy on the bikini trim and a nice pair and rear.

Yeah, making you guys pay more, to be treated like absolute trash just to give them more back gate money, I’d pass too.

Shame about the Gold Cup. Sharon Nationals was a nice two day sprint show. $5k and $10k, mix of Midwestern guys, and PA Posse guys. Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. No longer exists. The schedule this year coming up I think will be a little better though. They finally have good clay that has been there for a couple years, so hopefully they turn it around.

Used to like Sharon when Lou Blaney was still alive. Took the wife, daughter and son to Ohio in 1983, supposedly to go to Niagara Falls and then visit family in Ohio that they'd never met. In reality I wanted to hit the first of the Ohio Speedweeks series for 410 Sprints.

Saw, I think, 4 of them with Sharon being the last and it went to 1:30 a.m. with lots of wrecks and slow cleanup. The wife and daughter, then only 5, headed for the car but my 7 year old son insisted on staying to the bitter end. Bobby Davis, Jr. stopped at the flagstand with a couple of laps left so he could get more tearoffs and I thought the crowd was going to lynch him. I would have supplied the rope.

Fast forward 35 years and my son is still the last one to leave the pits after the races. He's Mr. Sociable and when they turn out the lights and are ready to lock the gates he'll leave. Should have seen that coming decades ago.

Jeez man, you’re hitting a soft spot there. Blue Blaney was my guy. I was probably 12-14 when I realized his name was actually Lou. It was him, Bobby Kraus, Jim Weller, Rex King, and I know I’m forgetting some.

He gave me one of his trophies at Raceway 7. It’s a shame he ended up getting Alzheimer’s I believe it was and passing. He meant a lot to me, and next to my Dad, I have him up there with others I look up to. Clean, great with fans, nothing but good things to say about him. And I hope Dale and Dave get Sharon back to where it was. Dale is good at running a track, he just still wants to race.

Back in the day man, Sharon got great sprints, modifieds, and late models. And good UMP style modifieds till they became 8” tired late models.

And the stock battles, just good memories there. That was my Dads home track and my brothers till they got rid of UMP modifieds.

Sharon has done a ton of improvement in the last 5 years or so, and the schedule this year is really aggressive. Some good things happening there. I’m gonna make quite a few trips up 79 this year.

Yes they have. Track surface being number one.

The GM there has been a family friend since he was a kid. And yes, this is their best schedule in a long time. I am going to try and make at least one race. You’d be amazed how long they tried to get that Lucas date.

Oh I know how long they tried to get that Lucas date. They wanted a second national touring show and Lucas wouldn’t give it to em, so they called the WoO.
