    Default 2019 MOWA Sprint Car Series Released!

    Officials with the Built Ford Tough Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) Sprint Car Series Delivered by Morrow Brothers Ford are excited to release the 2019 Series Schedule.

    Twenty-One events scheduled at twelve different venues make up the schedule. Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway will kick off the 2019 tour on April 5 before teams’ head to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa for the first of two trips to the Hawkeye State. Tri City Speedway, located in Pontoon Beach, Illinois hosts their first of two events of the 2019 season on April 12.

    The Month of May will be jam-packed for the MOWA Sprint Car Series as five races are scheduled over the course of 13 days. Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway returns to the Series schedule for the first time since the 2017 season. Tom and Loris Helfrich’s Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt will host the MOWA Sprint Car Series for just one event (May 18) during the 2019 campaign, completing the Hoosier State portion of the schedule. Jacksonville Speedway has their 2nd event of 2019 set for May 24 and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, located in Pevely, Missouri is the only stop for the series in the Show-Me State on May 25. Rounding out the events in May, on May 30 – “Mighty” Macon Speedway, the 1/5-mile bullring in Illinois hosts the series for the first of two visits.

    Lee County Speedway, in Donnellson, Iowa returns to the MOWA Schedule after a few seasons on Friday, June 7. The next night, Sat. June 8, teams will make the trek to Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois for the first of two races at the 3/8-mile Central Illinois oval, which will act as the halfway mark of the 20-event schedule. June 28, the MOWA Sprints will race in their third event at Jacksonville Speedway.

    A busy July is on tap for the series as well, with five events at five of Central Illinois’ well known racing facilities. Saturday July 6, the series makes the trip to Fairbury American Legion Speedway. July 12 will be the only stop for the MOWA Sprints at the Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway located at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Sunday, July 21 will see the MOWA Sprints head north to Lasalle Speedway. Ending July, a two-race swing beginning Friday July 26 at Jacksonville and ending July 27 at Macon will complete July’s part of the schedule.

    August will only see one event for MOWA at Tri-City Speedway for the second appearance in 2019.

    September 6 and 7, a familiar weekend for teams returns with the Herb Barlow Memorial at Jacksonville Speedway on Sept 6 and the Tom Knowles Memorial at Spoon River Speedway on Sept 7. These are two of the most anticipated events all year.

    The MOWA Sprint Car Series will conclude the upcoming season at Jacksonville Speedway with two events scheduled, October 4 and October 5.
