Ahnna Parkhurst Opens 2019 Season with Pair of Top-10 Finishes
Cabin Fever at Boyd’s Speedway Next on the Schedule

Evans, Georgia (01/29/19) – Ahnna Parkhurst hit the ground running over the weekend in the season opener for her 2019 campaign. She raced to a pair of Top-10 finishes during the 44th annual National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

Her performances came in the Crate Late Model and National Late Model Super Car Series (NLMSCS) ranks in her LauriesFund.org #23 Richard Childress Racing/E-Z-GO Late Model.

“Overall, it was a great start to our season,” the 18-year-old Parkhurst said. “In the Crate Late Model feature we started deep in the field, but the car was perfect, and I could go anywhere. We had a great drive to a fourth-place finish.

“The National Late Model Series feature was a bit of a different story. The car was good early, but I got turned around and hit by a few cars on a mid-race restart. I was able to keep going, but the car just didn’t want to turn anymore after the contact.”

Ahnna Parkhurst invaded East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) over the weekend, where she was pulling double duty during the 44th annual National 100.

In a field of 18 Crate Late Models, Parkhurst earned the 13th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main on Sunday. She mounted a great charge in the feature to advance to a fourth-place finish behind Mark Whitener, Jimmy Thomas, and Logan Roberson with Rodgerick Dykes rounding out the Top 5.

In the NLMSCS Limited Late Model ranks, Ahnna earned the fifth starting spot for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Parkhurst salvaged an eighth-place outing after contact with another competitor limited her car’s handling.
