Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic Opens MARS and Iron-Man Seasons on March 1-2 at Clarksville Speedway

SOMERSET, KY (February 11, 2019)—The 20th Anniversary of the Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series will open on Friday and Saturday March 1 and 2 at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway during the 15th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic paying $3,000-to-win on Friday and $5,000-to-win on Saturday. Both events will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series.

Since 2009, the MARS Racing Series has sanctioned this event. 2017 winners included Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas on Friday and Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, Ill. on Saturday. IN 2018, David Seibers and Dennis Erb Jr. took home the victories.

Along with the MARS/Iron-Man/UMP Late Models on Friday, the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will race for $600-to-win along with the UMP Crate Late Models racing for $600-to-win plus Mod Lites ($500-to-win) and the Quicksilver Street Stocks racing for $750-to-win. On Friday, the gates open at 5:00 pm with hot laps at 6:30 pm. All times central. Adult grandstand admission is $20.00 while adult pit passes are $35.00.

On Saturday, joining the MARS/Iron-Man/UMP Late Models will be the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man/UMP Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,500-to-win, plus the UMP Crate Late Models racing for $1,000-to-win, the Mod Lites race for $1,000-to-win, the Quicksilver Street Stocks race for $1,000-to-win, the Pure Streets race for $300-to-win and the Pure Minis compete for $200-to-win. The Iron-Man Open Wheels will hot lap/qualify combo, heat race and have the feature event. On Saturday, the gates open at 3:00 pm with hot laps at 6:30 pm. All times central. Adult grandstand admission is $25.00 while adult pit passes are $40.00.

An open practice will be held on Thursday Night February 28th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

The Super Late Model tire rule for the weekend is Hoosier LM20 and LM40, 1350 and 1600 with grooving and siping allowed. The entry fee is $100 Friday and $150 Saturday. $100 tow money will be paid to any driver not making the field of 24 on Friday and $150 Saturday. The transponder rental is $20.00 per night or $30.00 for the weekend and the Westhold Transponders are used. The MARS Racing Series follows UMP technical rules, which can be found at www.dirtcarump.com . The MARS Racing Series & Iron-Man Series does take tire samples at each event.

Update for the 15th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl. Practice is still Thursday, Feb. 28th from 5pm-9pm. Gates Friday, March 1st is still the same with gates opening at 5pm. However, due to the colder temperatures coming in Saturday night; we will be starting earlier-so PLEASE let everyone know. On Saturday, March 2nd the gates will open at noon and hot laps will be at 2:30 p.m.
