I take cash because I’m not positive what tracks take cards or not. And for the vendors. Certainly not because 30 seconds of your time is a tragedy.

Totally agree CnB, I think with the times all places of business should have cc processors..I find myself getting annoyed at a restaurant or bar or place that still are cash only...

Haven't really paid attention. I always bring cash. I think Kankakee and LaSalle are cash only at the ticket booth?, but have on site Atm's. At LaSalle, you'd have to be allowed beyond the gates to access the Atm booth, then go back out to the ticket booth line. If they even allow that. Is it even practical for a track that's open roughly 5 Months a year, to have credit card services? Some places open year around don't take plastic.

Credit cards can be run thur a cellphone. Companies do it all the time. I always take cash to race track. Some tracks will take checks

That's what I figured. Costs to accept plastic. With ATM, you pay the $2 convenience fee or whatever, and track gets their full admission price. I'll just stop at a dam Chase before going, or get cash back shopping that week if I plan on going to a Track.
