Ray Cook Visits Dixie for Southeastern Classic; Set to Promote Spring Nationals

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook Racing made a visit to the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday evening, March 16 to compete in the annual running of the 'Southeastern Classic.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model shootout at the Atlanta-area facility paid $5,000 to the winner and drew a strong 23 car field.

Ray Cook stopped the clock thirteenth quickest overall during qualifying to earn the inside of the seventh row for the start of the 50-lap headliner. After moving up inside of the top ten, Ray lost his right rear tire late in the distance and was forced to settle for a fourteenth place showing. Complete results from the 'Southeastern Classic' can be accessed online at www.dixiespeedway.com.

With his Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series tour lifting the lid to their schedule the next two weekends, Ray will leave his helmet at the race shop and instead put on his promoter’s cap. On March 22-23, Ray will be overseeing events held at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Georgia and Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia, while another double-dip is set for March 29-30 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama and Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia.
