Chad Simpson Unveils 2019 Plans; Driving for Moring Motorsports in Special Events!

(MOUNT VERNON, IOWA) After his fifteen year run with car owners Bud and Denise Brinkman came to an end in October 2018 with a $5,500 ‘Fall Nationals’ win at Lucas Oil (MO) Speedway and a Lucas Oil MLRA Series Championship, there were questions about what Chad Simpson would do for an encore in 2019. The Mount Vernon, Iowa native will field his own race team during the course of the ’19 season, which is slated to kick off on April 12-13 during the season-opening MLRA doubleheader at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Chad will unload his #25 Black Diamond Chassis, which will once again be powered by a Jay D1ckens Racing Engine, to vie for the $3,000 top prize in both events that make up the 6th Annual ‘Spring Nationals.’

Chad is also very happy to announce today that he will pilot the famed Moring Motorsports machine in select special events throughout the year for car owner Larry Moring and crew chief Ronnie Stuckey. Chad, who is scheduled to drive the #1 car for the first time in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triple shot in Iowa and Minnesota in mid-May, will also enter the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream, the ‘Silver Dollar Nationals,’ the ‘World 100,’ and the ‘Knoxville Late Model Nationals’ for the Forreston, Illinois-based team.

“It has been a busy off-season trying to figure out what exactly I was going to do for 2019, but I’m very excited about fielding my own team and driving for Moring Motorsports this year,” exclaimed Simpson, who is a two-time MLRA Champion and a six-time Corn Belt Clash titlist. “It is expensive to run your own Super Late Model program, but I have a great group of returning sponsors from my days with Brinkman Motorsports plus several new sponsors that are jumping on board with Chad Simpson Racing in 2019. I have to thank all of them for their support, as well as Larry Moring and Ronnie Stuckey for the opportunity to drive the brown #1 car. That takes a lot of burden off of me – driving for myself now – to show up at the big races at Eldora, I-80, and Knoxville and know that I’m in the best possible equipment.”

Chad Simpson Racing would like to thank the following new sponsors for their support in 2019: Ideal Ready Mix, Michelle Ruefer Chiropractic, Triple M Customs, Allgaier Performance Parts, Drive4Etch.com, and Yaggy Transportation. Returning sponsorship will come from the following group of valued supporters: Liebe Trucking, CR Feed and Fibers, Graves Oil, Wehrs Machine & Racing Products, Allstar Performance, Allgaier Racing Shocks, Marty and Cherry Getting, Performance Bodies, Black Diamond Chassis, Simpson Farms, Five Star Shop Service, Swift Springs, Midwest Frame and Axle, and JCD Trucking.
