Default iRacing $3,000 to win Dirt Late Model race tonight!

VLR is hosting the $3,000 to win Schaeffer's Oil Spring Fling tonight and tomorrow in iRacing. It's the highest paying race ever in iRacing

Pretty crazy to see that much money for a sim race.

Even Ben Shelton is gonna be announcing it. You can watch the live broadcast starting at 8pm eastern tonight at the link below

I love these. I’ve even started setting up notifications to let me know when they’re going live.

You already can and some people do. You need to be on iRacing of course to do it, but the camera options allow you to place yourself wherever you like.

That would have been the second server Qualifying Feature. There were two complete shows on two different servers back to back. Wednesday night is one show with the remaining cars, and the $3000 tw.

I think maybe they have one last qualifier tonight before the main event?

Yes there is an LCQ race tonight with only the winner transferring. They just posted the lineup for it.

The winner has the option of taking $200 on the spot or tagging the rear of the 100-Lap A Main which pays $100 to start. Gonna be fun to watch

The LCQ starts at 8pm et with the Spring Fling A Main about 9pm

Couldn't hang around for the second A main last night. The A main qualifiers were listed as 35 laps, but leader board said 65 laps. Host on youtube said something like first 35 laps cautions count. Last 30, they don't. Leader board still showed 4 laps left when the first qualifier was over. 100 lap race supposedly will list 200 laps with a portion of the cautions counting, and a portion of them not counting. Will we be able to actually go by the leader board to know how many laps left?

No the first 50 you will have the right lap count but the last 50 has to be done by hand as iracing counts yellow flag. They add the extra laps so they are sure to have enough to complete the race

I believe after lap 50 they will have a script that will show the right amount of laps without caution laps counting but maybe not.

If not the announcers will keep you informed on how many laps are left. Hopefully they have the program working though

Thanks for the replies. Awesome quality. Nice clean slide job for the lead and win in the first Qualifier.
