ADAIRSVILLE, GA – It looks like Mother Nature will give Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series tracks a much needed break for Week 5 competition. There are 19 races at 16 tracks in seven different states on the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 5 schedule of events, with six races on Friday night, and 13 races on Saturday night.

There will be 13 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division races, 11 Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division races, seven Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division races, and six Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division races on the Week 5 schedule.

Three tracks will be in action on both Friday night and Saturday night. Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will host the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour on Friday night and Saturday night during NASCAR Weekend. Along with the Late Model National Tour, the Late Model Sportsmen, and the Modified Sportsman will also race both nights.

Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS will present the Street Stocks on Friday night. On Saturday night, JMS will host the Late Models and the Late Model Sportsmen. Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS has the Late Models and Late Model Sportsmen on Friday night and Saturday night. The Late Models will race for $1,000-to-win at The Mag on Saturday night.

Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL will be looking to get their 2019 season opener in on Friday night with all four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions scheduled to compete. Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, GA has the Late Models in action on Friday night, and Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN presents the Late Models, Street Stocks, and Modified Sportsmen on Friday night.

Camden Speedway in Camden, TN has all four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Division in action on Saturday night, and Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN will host the Late Models and the Street Stocks on Saturday night. ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL will pay $1,000-to-win for the Street Stocks on Saturday night, and they will also have the Late Model Sportsmen in action.

The Late Models and Street Stock will be in action on Saturday night at both Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS and Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. The Kansas State Fairgrounds Speedway in Hutchinson, KS will run the Late Models on Saturday night in a race co-sanctioned with NCRA.

Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA has the Street Stocks in action on Saturday night, and Southern Raceway in Milton, FL will host the Late Models and the Street Stocks on Saturday night. Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN has the Late Models, Street Stocks, and Modified Sportsmen in action on Saturday night, and Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, LA presents the Street Stocks in action on Saturday night.

The point standings in the four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions have been adjusted and posted after a Week 4 Make-Up Race on Tuesday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL.

Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL drove the Sparks Energy Rocket to the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division win on Tuesday night at North Alabama Speedway. The victory put Mitchell on top of the Late Model point standings. Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL still leads the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings.

Morgan Lambert still leads the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division point standings going into Week 5 competition. The defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National Champion Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN leads the point standings after taking the win on Tuesday night at North Alabama Speedway driving the Rounder’s Sports Bar and Grill Special.
