Fuel pressure

So I’m running a sweet tandem pump, 604 crate on alcohol. Regulator on back of log to return, fuel pressure sensor on back of regulator. My question is, at idle my fuel pressure fluctuates from 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 but doesn’t increase when I rev engine or anything. I have a slight hesitation on restarts but not sure if it’s fuel pressure related. Brand new quick car stepper gauges

even at 4psi , your carb should be full on restarts , but your pressure should increase to to your regulator setting when you rev it up , probably a regulator problem.
