The victory closed Moran to within ten points of Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL in the battle for the top spot in Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings.

Hamilton finished fourth on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Hamilton Motorsports Special. The 14-year-old driver leads the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 575 points after two wins, 11 top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 12 races over 12 weeks of competition.

Moran has 565 points in the second spot after three wins, ten top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 17 races over 12 weeks of competition. Hamilton and Moran still have two weeks to earn full points before they reach the 14-week point of their respective seasons.

Drivers racing in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing events compete for both a Track point fund and a National point fund. Drivers compete against drivers racing at Durrence Layne Racing sanctioned tracks across the country using a National points system over a 27-week season that concludes on September 29.

A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals count as their season total. The top ten drivers in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings will earn a seat at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet to receive a point fund check and a trophy.

Dewayne Estes was the winner on Saturday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Eddie Rhinehart of Lawrenceburg, TN drove the Summertown Metals Special to his second win of the 2019 season on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN. Rhinehart is 20th in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 343 points, and has the highest Weekly Point Average at 49 out of a possible 50 after seven top three finishes in seven races over seven weeks.

The Friday night Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 14 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series event scheduled for Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS was rained out.
