    By Mike Leone

July 8, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)...The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series powered by Pace Performance is set to head north of the border in unchartered territory making its inaugural appearances in the French-speaking, Canadian province of Quebec. The inaugural "Quebec Invasion" will feature $4,000 to-win Platinum Events on Friday night (July 12) at the half-mile Autodrome Granby and Saturday night (July 13) at the quarter-mile Le RPM Speedway.

FK Rod Ends "Shock the Clock" qualifying will set the $25 to-win FK Rod Ends heat race lineups. The feature will pay $4,000 to-win, $400 to-start in US cash funds after each event. In addition, there will be 20 $100 travel packages given away by RUSH. RUSH Tour members can utilize these events to either replace one missed "Marquee" Tour event and/or throw out their worst "Marquee" finish(es). The events will also count for National Weekly, Summer Chase, and Futures Cup points for RUSH Weekly members.

"We cannot express how excited we are about this weekend," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "We were contacted in the winter by Charles Lampron, assistant-promoter at both RPM and Granby, about the possibility of bringing the RUSH Late Models to their speedways for a Quebec invasion. After a lot of thought and discussions with several people, the idea became a reality. These Quebec tracks have really stepped up to offer these great purses so their fans can experience Late Model racing. It should also make for an interesting weekend going from the big half-mile at Granby to the quarter-mile at RPM as both tracks will be new venues for most all of the competing racers."

In years past, Autodrome Granby and Le RPM have hosted national touring series such as the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Models, Super DIRTcar Series events, All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars along with the Empire Super Sprints.

"We're very excited to bring the Late Models back to Quebec," Lampron said. "We plan on making it a memorable weekend for the drivers and the fans. "We feel this will be a great experience for our racers and the Series itself. We also have to thank several of the promoters in Canada and New York for their cooperation in this huge weekend."

The Sweeney Late Model Touring Series has made many stops over the years in the Canadian providence of Ontario at Humberstone and Merrittville Speedways. The most recent appearance was on May 22, 2017 at Merrittville when Charlie Sander(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) made history by becoming the first Canadian to win a Tour event. Sander(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) will be considered one of the favorites this weekend as he heads the list of many of the Brighton Speedway regulars that are expected. Sam Pennacchio is one of the Humberstone regulars, and has also competed in many of the Tour events this year as he sits 11th in points.

So far this season, Max Blair leads the Tour win list with four victories including the last three. Blair has won well over $25,000 in just the seven Tour races he's competed in as he's yet to finish worse than second place. Jeremy Wonderling has three victories, while Logan Roberson won at his home track, Winchester Speedway, for the second straight year during the "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek presented by Wehrs Machine.

Precise Racing Products will award a $100 gift card for the "Pedal Down" Hard Charger that passes the most cars in the feature each night.
