    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Dunn Benson Motorsports to Field Second Car at the Dirt Million August 22-24th

DUNN, NC (August 1, 2019) – Kemp Lamm owner of Dunn Benson Motorsports is pleased to announce he will field a second car at the 2nd Annual Dirt Million at Mansfield Motor Speedway on August 22, 23 and 24th. Kemp has selected Eddie Carrier Jr. to be the driver of the second car as a Teammate to current driver Devin Moran at the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event in Mansfield, Ohio. Dunn Benson Motorsports finished 2nd at this inaugural event last year that paid $202,000 to win.

Eddie Carrier Jr, 48, brings a resume with a long list of accomplishments over his 30 years of driving both modifieds and super dirt late models. Eddie originally from Salt Rock, WV now resides near Shinnston WV and works full time at Rocket Chassis. Over his career, Eddie has won several track championships, a multiple feature winner on several National Touring Series and most notably the winner of the 2014 North/South 100 at Florence Speedway in Florence KY with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Eddie comes from a family involved in racing with his dad an accomplished former dirt late model racer as well. Eddie Jr. and his wife Jamie have been fan favorites for many years and considered one of the great families involved in racing.

“I’m very excited to field a second car for Eddie to drive at the Dirt Million as a Teammate to Devin. We felt we could field two cars for this event and give both Devin and Eddie a really great chance to win after finishing second at this event last year. Eddie is very talented and his resume speaks for itself along with his knowledge of the Rocket cars really helps our chances. Devin is excited to have Eddie as a teammate as well and it also gives all our great partners additional publicity and exposure at this big event”, stated Kemp Lamm, owner of Dunn Benson Motorsports.

Devin Moran will still pilot the #1 Big River Steel/ GETSCO/Dunn Benson Ford Rocket Chassis powered by a Ford RY45 Pro Power Racing Engine at the Dirt Million August 22-24th. Dunn Benson Motorsports will field a second entry at the Dirt Million with Eddie Carrier Jr as the driver of a Rocket Chassis powered by a Ford RY45 Pro Power Racing Engine. The car # and sponsors are being finalized and announced soon.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to drive for Kemp Lamm and the Dunn Benson Motorsports Team. That team has been supporting dirt late model racing for a long time and I’ve always had great respect for them. I’m looking forward to working with Devin and all their guys and hopefully we can put both cars in the front for this big event”, stated Eddie Carrier Jr.

This is the best news of the year so far. Eddie Jr, Jamie, and their entire family, are great people, and obviously Jr is a big time talent. I can’t wait to see him back on the track. I just wish he was debuting the car a week earlier, so I could see it in person!

Great for " THAT" team and all fans of ecj and dirt racing in general......Terry and I don't agree on much, but his assessment of the family is spot on.

With as excited as Danny Myers' wife was on social media about this announcement one would think either DB is going to a 2 car team or they will have their 4th driver in four years for that fully funded, high profile, premium dirt late model team.

O.M.G. What fantasy world you live in 🙄 I guess I’m not “allowed” to be personally happy and excited for LONG TIME FRIENDS getting a chance to run the biggest race of the year 🤷🏻(not a nice word)♀️ I guess I should not have been personally happy and excited for Bobby Pierce when he brought the first World100 win back to my home state. Or maybe I was too happy and excited for Chris Madden winning 3 Crown Jewels in a row. SMDH 🙄 Go back through my social media and you will see a whole lot of being happy and excited for a whole lot of people in this sport that I have been a part for 50 years! You know what, I get to SPEAK for MY SELF, I get to be happy for the people I am friends with and sometimes I even get to just BE A FAN. If you can’t simply be happy and excited for the success and opportunities of other people than YOU are part of the problem. Lord knows this sport has more than it’s share of negative people like yourself.
