Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series Makes First-Ever Trip to Wartburg Speedway August 10

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 4, 2019) – The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will return to action on Saturday August 10 as the tour will make its first-ever appearance at Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN. The open-wheel warriors of the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will be in competition racing for $1,200 to win.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will make its first-ever visit to Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 10, with their action culminating with a 25-lap, $1,200 to win/$125 to start feature contest. Joining the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series racers at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 10 will be the track’s Sportsman Late Model, Street Stock, Pony, Dwarf, Front Wheel Drive, Thunder, and Mod Mini divisions.

Activities at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 10 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with the drivers meeting set for 7:30 p.m., followed immediately by on-track activities. Ticket prices at Wartburg Speedway on Saturday August 10 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 7 to 12 being $5, while children ages 6 and under are free. In tier parking, ticket prices will be $20 for adults, with children ages 7 to 12 being $10, with children ages 6 and under free. In the pit area, a pit pass will be $30 for adults, $15 for children ages 7 to 12, and children ages 6 and under free.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the event and tire rules are as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Hoosier M60 and American Racer Extra Hard may be used as a right-rear option. The series runs under UMP technical rules. The entry fee for the event will be $50. Random tire samples will be taken by the series.

The last event contested for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series was also at Smoky Mountain Speedway on June 29 and Ricky Arms of Moss, TN would take the checkered flag at that event, followed by Clayton Miller, Peyton Harlow, Blake Brown, and Jesse Rupe at the finish. Defending series champion Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY is the current series points leader by 36 points over Amos Bunch of Wartburg, TN and Jesse Rupe of Sophia, WV, who are currently tied for second in series points, followed closely by Wayne James of Newport, TN and Rick Standridge of Vanore, TN.
