ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There is now a tie for the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division point lead after Week 19 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing action. Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL still has a share of the top spot, but now the 14-year-old driver has company from another fast teenager, in 19-year-old Hayden Moran of Covington, LA. The two drivers have a best 14-week total of 674 points.

Hamilton rolled to an eighth-place finish on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL and was unable to net on a 46. Moran finished sixth on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN to net on a 41 and earn four points on his best 14-week total.

Mike Lane of Wing, AL closed to within six points of the point leaders after a second-place finish on Saturday night at Southern Raceway. Lane netted on a 40 to gain nine points on his best 14-week total, and sits in the third spot of the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 668 points.

Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS is fourth in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14-week total of 662 points. Eaton finished sixth on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Eaton was able to net on a 39 and gain six points on his best 14-week total.

Jason Baker of Addison, AL could be the man with the plan in the upcoming Week 20 competition. Baker is fifth in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 635 points, and he still has one more week to earn full points. A 50-point win in a field of eight or more cars in his next race would give Baker a total of 685 points.

Drivers racing in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing events compete for both a Track point fund and a National point fund. Drivers compete against drivers racing at Durrence Layne Racing sanctioned tracks across the country using a National points system over a 27-week season that concludes on September 29.

A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals count as their season total. Once a driver reaches 14 weeks of competition, they start trying to net points by replacing the lowest weekly total among their best 14 weekly totals with a higher one. A driver can only count their best point total each week as their total for that week.

The top ten drivers in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings will earn a seat at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet to receive a point fund check and a trophy.
