Dang. One of the nicest guys I ever met in this sport. I remember the day I saw him back in a race car after he’d been away for several years. I asked him where he’d been, and he said something like, “I had to put four daughters through college”.

Guys like Randy, Donnie Moran, etc, were my favorites. Men who put family first.

    R.I.P., Randy.

Can we get a throwback for the world of the 155?

My dad helped Randy on a modified he drove for a friend in the late 90s to early 00's. He would run the mod and his own late in the same night. It was one of the last rayburn cantilever cars I remember seeing.....he made it work.

Sad to hear. Thoughts go out to his family.

Was Randy any kind to Jack and Jackie Boggs if so it would be cool to see Jackie do a throw back scheme for the World if he goes or maybe do a throw back scheme at some point either this year or next year

Randy was Jack's brother, and Jackie's uncle. Jackie and Randy didn't used to get along very well, things could've changed later on though.

When Randy won the World 100 the car was owned by Donnie and Rhonda House and Wayne was the crew chief and I believe he kept the car in Harrodsburg most of the time. RIP Randy.

    Yes. He had leukemia.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Randy could wheel a car no doubt R.I.P. it wasn't long after that race the cars started changing to today's style dry pavement racing and more very expensive racing.
