The Dirt Cup Challenge Open Wheel Modifieds will compete for $6,000 to win as part of the FASTRAK World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway on September 13th and 14th. The event is an UMP National Event for the Open Wheel Modifieds. Preliminary action will take place on Friday, September 13th. September 14th will include B-Mains and the $6,000 to win, $600 to start feature. No additional cars will be allowed to sign in on Saturday. Entry Fee for the Dirt Cup Challenge is $75.

The Dirt Cup Challenge follows the UMP rule book for the Open Wheel Modifieds. UMP inspectors will be on hand at Virginia Motor Speedway to ensure legality of all cars.

The thrilling action of the Dirt Cup Challenge joins the FASTRAK World Championship Weekend. The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship is the richest race in the history of Dirt Pro Late Model racing, paying $50,000 to win and $2,050 to start.

Two-day ticket pricing for the FASTRAK World Championship will see adults $45, seniors (60+) $40, military $35, students (13-17) $20 and children 12 and under free. All tickets are general admission seating. Pit passes (regardless of age) are $50 and get you a seat in the grandstands.

Credit card purchases for the two-day tickets are made over the phone by calling 804-758-1867 between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday. The speedway accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. There will be a $3 charge per credit card order. Fans can also buy tickets at the speedway office during the same time frame.

Spectator gates will open at 5 pm on Friday and 4 pm on Saturday, with hot laps beginning at 6 pm on Friday and 7 pm on Saturday. Friday’s schedule of events will include practice and two rounds of heat races for the FASTRAK Pro Late Model competitors and practice, qualifying and heats for the UMP Modified competitors. Saturday’s schedule of event will include B Mains, the $50,000 to win feature and up to four non-qualifier races for the Pro Late Model competitors and B Mains and $6000 to win feature for the UMP Modified competitors. A Sunday, September 15 rain date has been established should it be needed.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval. The track is on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland, and the Hampton Roads area.
