Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series at Tri-County Race Track Reset for Monday September 2

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 29, 2019) – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will celebrate the 2019 Labor Day holiday in grand fashion as the tour will be in competition at the Ray Cook promoted Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC on Monday September 2 for the track’s 8th Annual Back to School Nickel Night presented by Entegra Bank, with $3,000 to win up for grabs. It will be the tour’s first-ever trip to one of the raciest venues in the Southeast. The event was originally scheduled for Friday August 23, however, inclement weather forced the postponement of the event until Monday September 2.

This event will follow an event co-sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com and Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals presented by Sunoco Race Fuels at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN on Sunday September 1. This will be the 11th Annual Buddy Rogers Memorial, which will see Super Late Models race for $5,044 to win, along with the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series racing for $1,000 to win.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will visit Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC for the first-time ever on Monday September 2, with a 30 lap, $3,000 to win/$300 to start event on the docket for the track’s 8th Annual Back to School Nickel Night at the track, as there will be ten thousand nickels spread out on the front-chute for the young race fans in attendance (three age groups), along with a limited number of backpacks and school supplies for the young race fans as they head back to school. Also in competition with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com at Tri-County Race Track on Monday September 2 will be the track’s Modified Street, Street Stock, Beginners, Pony, and Front Wheel Drive divisions along with the Southeastern Sportsman Late Models racing for $1,500-to-win.

Activities for the 8th Annual Back to School Nickel Night on Monday September 2 at Tri-County Race Track will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice beginning at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the 8th Annual Back to School Nickel Night presented by Entegra Bank on Monday September 2 at Tri-County Race Track in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, with young fans ages 11 to 16 being $10, with ages 10 and under free, while a pit pass will be $35 for adults, with ages 11 to 16 $20, and ages 10 and under free.

The Super Late Model portion of the program will be sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com. The entry fee for the event at Tri-County Race Track will be $100, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Super Late Model tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1300, 1350, and 1600 and American Racer 44, 48, and 56. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $50 tow money.
