ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Three races are on the Week 25 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series schedule of events for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division this Saturday night. Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL and the defending Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National Champion Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN will continue their 2019 Championship battle.

Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN, and for the first time in the 2019 season, Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS will host Week 25 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division events.

For drivers trying to plan out the last five weeks of the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division season, we have compiled a master schedule listed below of Weeks 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 based on the tracks’ web sites and Facebook pages. These schedules are subject to change on a daily basis, so be sure to check out the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division Preview each week for updates.

Riddle leads the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National point standings with a best 14-week total of 695 points. Riddle will be trying to net on a 49, which means he has to win a 50-point race to gain any points on his season total. With five weeks remaining in the 2019 season, Riddle has to score a 50-point win each week to reach the 700 point mark for a Perfect Season.

Gillespie is second in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division standings with a best 14-week total of 691 points. Gillespie will be trying to net on a 48, as he tries to close in on Riddle to challenge for his second-straight National Championship.

Just five points separate third through fifth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National point standings. Tracy Terrell of Russellville, AL is third in the standings with a best 14-week total of 652 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Blake Cross of Centerville, TN is fourth with a best 14-week total of 648 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Chuckie Gipson of Tuscumbia, AL rounds out the top five in the National standings with a best 14-week total of 647 points, and he will be trying to net on a 43.

Drivers racing in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series events compete for both a Track point fund and a National point fund. Drivers compete against drivers racing at Durrence Layne Racing sanctioned tracks across the country using a National points system over a 29-week season that concludes on October 13.

A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals count as their season total. Once a driver reaches 14 weeks of competition, they start trying to net points by replacing the lowest weekly total among their best 14 weekly totals with a higher one. A driver can only count their best point total each week as their total for that week.

The top ten drivers in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division National point standings will earn a seat at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet to receive a point fund check and a trophy.
