 Dunn-Benson
So are they selling out, or does anyone know? I see on FB they have ALOT of stuff for sale, but they did this last off season too.

What l have heard is that they will own the car, hauler, etc., but that it will be housed, maintained, etc., at one of the major teams. The driver supposedly will be a multiple series champion. Who really knows at this point?

IF there is a team next year, the cars will be housed in the shop they have now in Dunn. Pretty much everything they used this season is for sale.

Supposedly O’Neal is going back to Mastersbilt and his Bowyer crew chief is going with him. Bowyer is going to a 1 car team and Burroughs is leaving for Brian Shirley. Just word in the pits

I was just in Dunn and was told by someone close to the team that they were " closing shop". I guess we will see.

I have been trying to tell folks that for 2 weeks. People continue to throw out silly drivers to be in the car next year. There will be no team.

If true, wish they would have gone out like they came in but the last few years have been tough.......I'm thankful for the memories and what they brought to the sport and more importantly the recognition they brought for our region and Slm racing.
Hoping you guys are wrong.
And dslm....we've taken a page out of the posse playbook and are just in denial about DB shutting her down.....it will pass.

If kemp lamb sold the dealership , why on earth would he continue to have the race team ? Running a team like that involves losing a couple hundred k every year. Yes I get that he sold the dealership so most likely has plenty of money to keep going BUT unless he’s the crew chief and personally works on the cars and gets his excitement by trying to outsmart the other teams or he has a kid ready to step in the seat keeping the team going makes zero sense. I know that neither of the above are the actual case. With the dealership spending that kind of money could borderline be justified as advertising , but when you only make a couple grand per car does the race team really cause enough people to shop there who otherwise wouldn’t In order to not only cover but to benefit from that expenditure?? I highly doubt it.
