Hopefully this is not true, but if so, let's try to refrain from any hateful speculation.

A true legend has passed. D*ck Trickle met him at the gates with a cold coors light and a cigarette.

Randy was a true racing innovator. He pushed the aerodynamic rules beyond the limits. He was a talented racer who wanted to be faster than anyone. He came up with some great race products that set new standards for quality. Randy truly did things his way. Glad to say I met him and saw him race. RIP Randy. His legacy will live on thru Sweet manufacturing.

I just really hope whoever gets the company does NOT outsource it or sell it down the line. That guy built that company from nothing to be literally the leader in steering racks. And he was a racer.

May he rest in peace and raise he!! wherever he’s at.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

i had the pleasure of seeing his purple #17 back in the old ASA days. What was truly bada$$ was his plexiglass side wall car. man it would fly. he brought it to Winchester and to Sun Valley(anderson) speedway back in the day to set closed course records. slot car for adults was what is was. incredibly fast piece.
