Grease fittings on steering rack.
I have two Woodward racks for my car.
One has an owner fab'd set of copper tubes about 12" long that have grease fittings on the ends to allow remote geasing of the two rack fittings. There is a two zerk brass block rthat allows mounting to a solid surface. I don't have any idea where these were mounted since the racks are not original to my chassis.
The issue is the tubing is very small like that used for an oil pressure gauge. I'm not sure the old lube isn't hardened inside the tubes and useless. And I guess I'd feel better running maybe a -4 line to those areas. I kind of like the idea of the remote greasing feature.
Ideas? Comments?
