To me that's kinda sad. Once a contender, now a rent-a-ride... I wish they'd have bowed out gracefully or took a hiatus till they were ready to be serious again, but not this...

Select shows ? Rent a ride ? Is this guy the same crew chief that set up the cars for Pierce and Moran ? No mention of $$$. Send your resume and I betcha that deal will be available. I no I tell my crew chief, make sure that car doesn't qualify, I got my money.

Sounds to me like they are trying to secretly audition people for the ride.

I can see the DB ride showing up at a lot of crown jewels. Could be a nice opportunity for someone.

If your check cashes you too can drive the Lamm Autosports entry of your choice. Gets even better, you also get to work with a championship crew chief - giggles loudly. I'd wager a pizza burger at Eldora on it that the email inbox is already full and the phone has not stopped ringing for this great opportunity. The comment above about rich kids with no talent, isn't that the case now at all levels of racing?? I am up for adoption if someone would like to waste some money on me.

If I'm paying to put someone in the car, I'd want freedom to choose my own crew too.

They should have put Ross Bailes in that ride.

I know Tim Logan charges 5k per race with a crash clause. I’m sure the Dunn Benson ride will be something similar.

I’m surprised it took this long for this business model to start.
Tommy Lemons, Frank Deiny, Dale Jr are among the elites that use that business model on the asphalt side.

Welcome to the next level indeed.

Sooooo, if they have any cars left from Pierce, shouldn't their company name be.....Rent-a-Wreck?

In a similar action, I'm offering the Yugo SLM rent-a-ride, hot Bolshoi 4 cylinder, and a wreck contract clause that if you wreck it, I pay you!

Is it a lot more to not get the crew chief?

I rented my 62 Ford Rent-a-Racer out in '83. $75.00 per night. I was the only guy at Hales Corners making money on racing.

I would love to see Kevin Weaver in this ride for the World 100.
