Default Xtreme at Cherokee Preview: Who has an answer for Madden?

    https://insidedirtracing.com/xtreme-...er-for-madden/

Madden has won two of the three features. Will someone challenge him for the series crown?

Not sure about the crown, but Little Headknocker should be tough at Gaffney. I hear the old man finally opened up the wallet....

It wasn't going to be Fergy anyway. Bailes is as good at Gaffney as Madden, or very, very close anyhow.

    Thumbs up

I'm watching the ace on DIRT Vision. It appears they only have about 14 cars.
Drivers Include - Madden, Strickler, Pearson Lee Williams, Zach Mitchell, Trent Ivey, Ross Bailes.

Ross Bailes - New Track Record in Qualifying according tot the announcer.

Decent field in the other classes there

Wow, what a ride in the 602 late model feature!! That could have been nastier then what it turned out to be if he would have made it into the infield. Ironically not 2 minutes later you see a family with a child in arms cross the track to head into the pits. I love seeing children at the races because they are our future, but they don't belong in the infield area. To much can happen to quickly!!

Need to see the beginning of the spin-out to know what happened. There was contact, but this does not show what started it. Scary wreck either way. Those barriers are dangerous.

It was originally scheduled for the 18th. Due to weather it was rescheduled for this weekend.

Didn't a spectator get injured there before in something similar where a car almost got in the pits a couple years back....or was that somewhere else?

The track has a history to say the least. What I know is a driver named Josh Hoots Hit and went over the wall in turn 2 a few years back and ran over a woman. She lived. A stock 4 car several years back driven by a driver named Greg Davis went over the wall and fence in turn 3. The wall was a good 3 foot and fence was about 10 foot tall. Ed Basey in a Late Model also went over the wall in turn 3. The scary thing about this is there is no longer a fence on top of the wall in turn 3. You can park on the backstetch and walk in between there at any time. It's not if, it's when.
