Since day 1 I have not liked yellow line rule and thought that created the wreck finishes that would hurt someone eventually. NBC post race show cancelled... not good folks

raceready, the cars don't need more speed. That is the problem, they need less speed.

If you are sitting at home or a casual fan at the track there is no way you can tell the difference between 185 mph or 200 mph. No way. But the reduction of speed could save lives.

They need more speed which makes them harder to drive and will separate the field a bit

Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

You might be forgetting F1. Either way, the best thing for Daytona would be a bunch of D 10’s and a wrecking ball. The tracks are too big in NASCAR, and 95% of the racing is boring. We all know racing is inherently dangerous, but restrictor plate racing is basically racing reduced to WWE action.

Above anything else I just hope Ryan is ok.
I've seen on twitter a Penske employee was told he was awake as he was loaded into the ambulance.,

The sad thing is that Newman was among the, if not the most vocal critic of restrictor plate racing.

I've seen that as well. But, I've also seen and heard conflicting reports that suggest otherwise. Right now there's lots of speculation going on and speculation leads to lots of misinformation. I pray he comes out of this okay, but right now all we can do is pray and wait!

Speculation is not needed at this time. Wait until we get a report. Driver was hit by another car in the driver seat while airborne. Prayers of Ryan. I hate plate race and always have.

Slow response times are a life or death situation, wouldn't you agree? Would it have been acceptable if the paramedics took 30 minutes to get to Newman, or if they just stood around and looked at each other after they got there? Why do you think it's OK?
