ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The $5,000-to-win 4th Annual Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock World Championship Race will be held this Saturday night at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA. The first 16 starting spots were filled on December 27, 2019 through Heat Races, but the B-Mains and the 50-lap Feature Race were rained out on December 28, 2019.

Those B-Main Races to fill starting spots 17 through 24 and the $5,000-to-win big show will be run on Saturday night. Mark Whitener of Middleburg, FL won the first Heat Race and will start Saturday night’s main event from the pole position. Hayden Moran of Covington, LA won the second Heat Race and starts the Big Show from the outside of the front row.

Tyler Love of Lancaster, SC won the third Heat Race and starts the 4th Annual Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock World Championship from the inside of row two. Michael Stalnaker of Ocala, FL won the fourth Heat Race and starts the main event from the outside of the second row.

Local favorite Wil Herrington of Hawkinsville, GA and Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS make up the third row, while Ricky Greene of Inman, SC and Robby Metts of Albany, GA start in the fourth row. Charles Christian and Chase Collins start in the fifth row, and row six is made up of Shawn Washam of Nahunta, GA and Michael Blount of Sumrall, MS.

Kevin Durden of Archer, FL and Tim Powers of Okeechobee, FL start in the seventh row, and rounding out the “Sweet 16” in the eighth row are Tuck Trentham of Pierson, FL and Tyler Turvin of Ochlocknee, GA. There are 23 cars that will start in one of two B-Main Races on Saturday night, and new cars are welcome to tag on to the tail of a B-Main for an opportunity to make the Big Show.

Cochran Motor Speedway will host an Open Practice Session on Friday night. The gates open at 5 p.m. with practice from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday, the pit gate opens at 2 p.m. with Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock Division Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. with racing to follow.
