FOX small bore shocks

Anyone know about Fox working on small body/bore shocks? Just wondering what the advantages are going from a 1.834 bore to a 1.459 bore. Thanks!

They can build pressure faster when compressed and sort of work as an air spring. Used a lot of times where stacks and progressive springs are not allowed.

Note not necessarily talking about foxes stuff just in general.
