    The 17 was most likely Tony Stewart (Washington, Ia., unless he was injured during this time period). His family built cars and engines; also owned a lot of winners in the southeastern Ia area.

    Now that is a gorgeous race car, right there. Not all twisted up in the front and jacked up on left rear with the front valance 10" shorter on the right side compared to the left and half rolled over in the corners with the right front stuck out a foot farther than the right rear. That vintage cars were the prettiest dirt late models of the generic era.

    I watched Ol' Highbank win a ton of races driving for Lee & Dottie Byers.

    Finally figured out how to post pics...I have a lot of personal pics like the two I just put out I will put on from time to time Ia, Eldora, and I-70 mostly (newer NC pics)
