They will have to find a way to have racing and limit fans. Weekly shows only type of deal. Large gatherings are going to be gone for a long time.

That ought to not be all that hard. Why we've been talking about how empty the bleachers are at most of the weekly races and how we could fill them back up again for the last 12 or 13 years right here on the 4m. We talk about that almost as much as we talk about shocks, bodies, motor costs and Scott Bloomquist. In a word way, way a lot.

Shovel on a little more coal, then when we cross white oak mountain, watch 97 roll!

    BUT,

If there's no big races only weekly stuff, do the big teams start running local shows instead of letting their equipment sit and try and pull in a couple thousand bucks a week or so? That wouldn't leave them much profit I suppose, maybe $200 net at best for a $1000 win, but they have sponsors that probably want the cars on the track.

And if those big names show up at a not big race, is it now a big race? Then a lot of people show up when somebody jumps on Twitter and say, Hey Everybody I'm at the track and _________ and ________ are here. Then those people show up and there's a crowd now when there usually isn't?

It all comes down to if the majority of people revolt over these new policies or not. If people don't push back there will be no racing in 2020. This has become a political issue unfortunately.

The best way for us to push back is just open up the tracks. They're pushing us more and more to see how many of our freedoms we're willing to give away. My answer is none. Let's go racing.

Governor DeWine of Ohio is upbeat about opening the state back up on May 1.

Business owners might be a little weary of opening up against gov't order. What happens if they lose their buisness licence? What if the Health Dept. comes in and shuts them down for some infractions?

It may not be as simple as "Let's go Racing"

It's illegal and unconstitutional. They can't take away every business license in the state. The alternative is to sit back and live in quarantine for the rest of our lives, at which point all of the businesses are destroyed anyhow.

It is not a political issue. Geez. There are governors from both parties that have shut down things, because covid-19 is a lot more contagious and deadly than the normal flu.

It would be nice if you political fanatics (both sides) would quit trying to politicize everything.

Governors closing businesses and deciding when to reopen them is about the most political thing I’ve witnessed in my life.

If you don't at least think there's some politics involved than you're very naïve.

It is political. If it wasn't they would be telling the elderly and those with underlying conditions to isolate and opening everything up. We all know who would be filling hospitals to capacity, those people need to keep taking extra precautions.
