Officials with the FASTRAK Racing Series Northeast and Hagerstown Speedway have announced that the May 2nd $2,000 to win event has been postponed. The postponement comes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced racetracks to remain closed as social distancing mandates continue.

“While we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel, the fact remains that we aren’t quite there yet,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “We will continue to take a race by race approach with upcoming events. We will follow the guidance from federal, state, and local officials.”

FASTRAK and Hagerstown Speedway will work towards a rescheduled date once restrictions on large gatherings are lifted in Maryland. Meanwhile, FASTRAK is working with racetracks, parts suppliers, manufacturers, and race teams to assist with applying for the Small Business Administration’s relief programs. Anyone interested should contact DJ Irvine at (270)564-1914.
