I like that it goes to 80% the day of the PDC at Fairbury.

The Pierce fans. Bahaha. Sorry I couldn't resist that one.

Is there an actual small group of representatives for this from the different forms of auto racing?

Gov. Pritzker isn't going to allow this. It makes too much sense.

Very well thought out plan. This is what some states are going to have to do to get their governors blessing.

Or he either has no idea what Motorsports are and will veto it or will just veto it because people might have too much fun.

This is a pretty impressive “try”, but from what I’ve seen of this Priztger or whatever his name is....I doubt this moves the needle. Sad.

The word "IF" could easily make the whole thing fail.

It's likely to be a combination of both. Governor crooked, greasy fat ass wouldn't know a race car of any kind if one ran him over while walking to board his private jet (that the taxpayers of Illinois are footing the bill for) to fly his bloated ass to the family mansion in Florida. And, a veto would be pretty much inevitable considering that he hates anything and anybody south of I-80 and west of I-39!

Kenny Dobson of Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois responded to this coalition manifesto on another board. In a nutshell Kenny said if he was mandated to just 20% capacity @ $20.00 per ticket for his facility and he had internet PPV available for purchase he'd probably come up a bit short of breaking even. That is considering that beer and food concessions would be impacted. He went on to say that even with the short fall it would be an investment in the future. The longer these facilities stand idle the harder it might be to get profitable again.

I hope Kenny, along with Bob Sargent, is in the mix of promoters within this "coalition". Those two, along with a couple others, are very competent, honest and influential promoters who probably would carry plenty of influence with state and local authorities. It's doubtful that those guys will allow any flaunting of the rules at their facilities which would amount to 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.
