    Default blue gray help

Just switched from mods to lates and purchased a 2015 blue gray rocket, one rockets recommended smash numbers and springs with the lr being a 105lb effective rate stack. integra canisters from MS Shock therapy, 33 inch 5th coil placement. The car is rigid, only droping 2.5 inches on the rf and the rr isn't moving much at all just folds the tire under then skates the corner. its set up on wide rf and steel block aluminum headed engine. Car bounces and is super darty it is the most uncomfortable car ive ever driven and nothing sticks out to me. Any advice would be appreciated, also it has both bolt in underslung bars in and really isnt up on the lr much as others or i would expect it to be.

rf is 18.25 650# 3 in 1270 4 in 1800. rr is 20 450#. took 3 rounds out of the rr and the car did not react at all. stays stiff and rigid, washboard from bottom to the top. straightaways im as fast as the leaders from entry to middle they kill me. the front end is darty as well would of never tried to race side by side as it was unpredictable.

lf 550 rf 275 lr 105 stack, rr 220. drop is 13.5 inches but not hitting the mark on the track. drop is limited by the under slung bar.

sounds like you may have a shock/ shock adjustment problem or somthing binding in the car also sounds like the front end may be out. Have you scaled the car and went through the front end.

U can get a updated lr underslung that allows for more drop. Is it beating the skid plate up?

yes i scaled the car, and went through the front end before ever hitting the track. I don't assume anything is correct when I buy a used car. I increased the toe from 3/4 to 1 inch during the night and it helped the darty feeling quite a bit but still never felt like the front end was connected to the track coming out of the corner especially sometimes it would shoot right without warning. no its not hitting the skid plate its no where near that much rf movement. My impression was that the bolt in underslung bars on this car are the most current? plan to run the shocks through their paces on the dyno.

With the newest lr underslung the axle tube will be several inches below the tube at 13.5" drop.

ok thanks for the info i will look into that. question is what would be the harm in running a limiter and doing away with the underslung bar all together?

With all the newer cars being built stiffer I would get the new underslung. There not expensive think mine was around $30 from rocket.

I had my best finishes in my BG with a 200/500 stack on RF 700@RH, 1650-1700@4”, 14.0-14.25 drop on LR with the bolt in underslung as wall art and used a travel limiter, along with running a shorter .5” shorter driveshaft to help keep from bottoming our in transmission, 225 w/1 rubber RR 375# @RH, Air or 80# spring on LR 220#@24.5”, 5th coil shortest setting 425# spring, j bar up 1/4” on frame

What kind of motor with that 425 5th coil?
