Default ULTIMATE at 311 postponed to May 24

The ULTIMATE Southeast event which was scheduled for Saturday night at 311 Motor Speedway in Pine Hall, North Carolina has been postponed to Sunday, May 24th. The track's infield was flooded from river flooding water pushing back through its drainage system. With rain expected to stop Thursday evening track owner Mike Fulp is confident that the 1/2 mile facility will be fully ready to go for Sunday racing.

"The issue isn't so much the grounds drying as it is getting everything cleaned up to host an event. The water will drain out overnight as the river recedes. And the ground in the infield is hard packed so it will require minimal drying. The infield buildings and facilities will need to be cleaned and dried out. And with good weather expected Friday and Saturday there should be no problem getting everything ready to go. We hope that everyone will come out in force and support Mike and 311. If you can't make it out we encourage you to purchase the PPV broadcast to support the track and these racers. I know everyone wants to get back to normal and we need as much support as we can get in the interim." said Ultimate Series Director Kelley Carlton.

Gates will open at Noon. Drivers meeting will be at 5:00 PM with hot laps to follow. The event will still be available on PPV via www.speed51.com for race fans .

    Ultimate Southeast Full Payout For May 24th At 311 Motor Speedway: 1) $5,000; 2) $2,500; 3) $1,500; 4) $1,200; 5) $1,000; 6) $850; 7) $750 8) $700 9) $600; 10) $550; 11) $500; 12) $450; 13) $425; 14-24) $400

I called the track there racing. Gates open at 3 racing 7pm. $30 for grandstand $40 pits. Thats to much for ultimate series. Speed 51 updated there ppv and never changed that the grandstand were now opened. I guess thats hoping people will buy ppv.
Im sorry but $30 is to much for ultimate $5k show. I just paid $20 for a $4k bb mod show. WTH mike. I guess he wants to help pay for pumping out the flood water.

Fergy isn't coming. They broke another drive shaft on the second lap of practice at Cherokee and found some other issues. That's what they tweeted a HR or two ago
