I guess you are right about that. I know Scott likes to build race cars. Maybe we are seeing the transition from driving to just being a car builder.

I don't want to call a guy washed up especially one of the very best that ever drove a late model but Scott was looking like he shouldn't have even been in the hot pits last year after he came back he was so hobbled up. Sophomore year of High School I spiral fractured a Tibia and Fibula (Joe Theisman injury) in a football game in October and it was July before I could run again and I was just a pup. I don't have to tell the rest of the over 40 crowd around here how much longer it would take to recover from that nowadays. I think he'll be back to winning again but probably not for awhile. He's human, you know.

Here's the thing, if he gets to the point where he don't feel like he can win every night and also actually win a lot Scott is gonna hang 'em up. He's out there to win. Not just to make laps. I'm not a Bloomquist fan but he's one tenacious MF'er. Not even the haters can deny that.

Bloomer's cars are doing pretty well. That is his future of course. I see no way he returns to dominate anything on the track at this point. He was a great driver, but all things come to an end. If he wants to race, he certainly should, but thinking he will be the man to beat is wishful thinking.

I believe it was Madden that said the droop rule was affecting thier cars some. They couldn't find the right balance. And with Bloomers on the mend from the accident and the death of Randy I don't think they had much time to work on it. McDowell has been racing under that rule and has it figured out. I think Ricky has also ran a few events in the past under it also I believe.

When Ray went with it, setups were in a different place.

After Scott retires the stories about his adventures will more than likely be revealed. By family, friends and fellow racers and it will be interesting. His start to this season has a lot of people guessing as to what mite be wrong. Hip, droop rule, age, family, all have there opinions. It will be interesting.
