A shock of your life at first look but back woods almost in town different. I was there a few years ago during a SRRS race. Seating- like a small high school baseball field, wood planks. Steep bank for a lawn chair but you must dig holes to level the lawn chair. Crowds- Steep hill side with grass, cool. Plenty of room. Parking- top of a clay ridge and hope it does not rain a lot for it was very muddy in spots. Tier parking on the back side of the small oval fairly high bank track (use to have a pond in the middle) which is cool for a tail gate party. Bathroom- good. Track- typical clay very small sorta high bank which is neat. It is primitive different. Wartburg TN

Very cool setting for a racetrack. Especially like the terrace parking where you can watch the race from your vehicle. Track is small, high banked and fast. I saw a WoO late model race there once. 50 lap feature ran caution free. It was over in about 10 minutes. I don’t think there was a pass the entire 50 laps lol

Josh Rice won from 10th. Sounds like it might have been a good show.

I was there. Fantastic race. Track finally came around in time for the super race. They were racing top to bottom with sliders galore. Josh was on a rail. He made an incredible move to pass both Victor Lee and Skyler Marler at the same time as they were running side by side. Big crowd also. Tier parking was packed.

I went last night and must say it was worth every bit of the
    362 mile round trip.
    They had a huge crowd.
    The food was good.
Track crew kept the show rolling.
A person would have thought that it was a Lucas or woo
race by looking at the crowd.
BTW, I looked like I'd been rolling in the dirt when I left!!!! LOL
Thanks Wartburg and I will go back again.

Big congrats to Josh Rice. IF he ever gets sponsored out on the tour with a top team, he will be a handful. I saw his first race when he was a very young man and he has the goods to be good/smile

I hadn't been to Wartburg in around 15 years until Friday night and I'm glad I went back. The track is completely different than the last time I was there with a sandy type dark dirt, that had zero traction until around the b-main. The last 20 laps was some of the best racing I have ever seen and I was ready for about 40 more laps.

Another track in proximity to Knoxville. Never been, but with our grand babies being in Knoxville and us making frequent visits there, I’m looking forward to adding Wartburg to my list!
