    The Sundrop Kid, one of the best ever in a Late Model or Hardtop was the late Larry Damitz, who died a few years back. He got the nickname from the soda pop he delivered as a young fellow in Vallejo, CA. Hundreds of wins and was still winning championships right up to his death at 86 young years. The whole west coast, as well as Ken Schrader, was in awe of him.
