    Default GM Aluminum Bell Housing

Will a stock GM aluminum bell housing be ok for a crate car. I think it would be as good as the bert or brinn. Most of those have been cracked and repaired.

I've used them up to 600 hp. If you have an adapter ring machined to adapt the GM truck bellhousing down, even stronger.

I think that is the one I have. The hole is about 5 1/8". But I don't have an adapter.

I wouldn't run it with no pilot like that.

Oh no, I'm not. I found a crack in it around the starter cup any way. I'll keep my steel bell in for now. Thanks

drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it.
then die grind down the center of the crack on both sides, and have a good aluminum welder weld it.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.
